Contra Costa County Safer Schools Awards
Through our partnership with The California Endowment, Horizons funded this coalition of seven organizations to create safe and supportive school environments for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQQ) youth in Contra Costa County. The organizations have increased awareness of LGBTQQ issues in schools among students and staff, provided direct services to LGBTQQ youth, developed youth leadership, and empowered community coalitions.
