Meet These LGBTQ Trailblazers in Law: Albers-Alexander 2024

The Albers-Alexander LGBTQ Scholarship Fund, housed at Horizons Foundation, was created to empower young LGBTQ students from low-income and working-class backgrounds pursuing a law degree. The goal of the fund is to break down barriers to education and uplift those who have historically been denied access — such as LGBTQ students of color, transgender students, LGBTQ immigrant students, and first-generation college students.
The Albers-Alexander LGBTQ Scholarship Fund awards up to $10,000 to first, second, or third-year law students attending one of the following law schools:
- Golden Gate University School of Law (San Francisco, CA)
- University of California at Berkeley, School of Law (Berkeley, CA)
- University of California at Davis, School of Law (Davis, CA)
- The University of California College of the Law (San Francisco, CA)
- University of Wisconsin Law School (Madison, WI)
This year, we are thrilled to announce the latest cohort of Albers-Alexander Scholarship recipients. These remarkable individuals embody courage, resilience, and the drive to create a more just and inclusive future for the LGBTQ community.
