It is currently the Bay Area's only ongoing queer literary reading series in a non-commercial setting. LIT @JSC presents 9 readings per year and SFinX: San Francisco in Exile Live at JSC, bi-monthly spoken word events and attendant Web site archive. These programs play a crucial role in JSC's ambition to achieve full diversity, especially reaching queer artists and audiences of color and the transgendered community of the Bay Area
